Here is one of my new designs I'm exhibiting in the artwave festival.
It's based on the poem about apples!.....
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Apple in the morning - Doctor's warning
Roast apple at night - starves the doctor outright
Eat an apple going to bed - knock the doctor on the head
Three each day, seven days a week - ruddy apple, ruddy cheek
Everyone who's visited exhibition so far have been ubber dubber kind about my work.
Hello. My name is Lydia Crook. I am a freelance paper engineer and artist who works from my little studio in Hove. I tend to specialize in all things to do with paper, from pop-up books to ornate paper cuttings, but I sometimes get a little excited about other creative things. I enjoy taking photos of anything interesting, usually not very well. I have a small hobby of designing and making my own clothes and I strangely enjoy old-fashioned crafts, such as cross-stitching and embroidery. I love to swim (in the sea as well as in a pool) and I find running fun when the weather is good. I read the occasional book for grown-ups but sometimes prefer to engross myself into a good old classic children’s book (it's an occupational hazard). I also own a rabbit called Ralph. He is grey. Please note that all images remain the copyright of Lydia Crook and may not be reproduced or used elsewhere without agreed permission.
